Allergen Information

Last reviewed: [2026]

At miss chicken, we want every customer to have clear and accurate information before placing an order.

Food allergies and intolerances can be serious. Please read this page carefully and contact us directly before ordering if you or anyone you are ordering for has a food allergy, intolerance or other dietary requirement.

Important allergy notice

Our menu includes chicken, burgers, wraps, bread, sauces, cheese, rice, chips, drinks and other ingredients that may contain or come into contact with regulated allergens.

Recipes, ingredients, suppliers and preparation methods may change. Please check the latest allergen information every time you order, even if you have ordered the same item before.

If you have a serious allergy, do not rely only on the notes box at checkout. Contact the restaurant directly before placing your order.

How to obtain allergen information

You can obtain current allergen information:

  • On individual product descriptions, where available
  • Through our allergen matrix
  • By contacting the restaurant before ordering
  • By speaking to a member of staff when collecting an order
  • Through order labelling or written information supplied with the order, where applicable

Current allergen matrix: [Insert link to allergen matrix or downloadable PDF]

If you cannot find the information you need, please do not place the order until you have spoken to us.

Online delivery and collection orders

For online, telephone, delivery and collection orders, allergen information should be checked before completing the purchase.

When placing an order:

  1. Review the allergen information for every item.
  2. Check sauces, drinks, sides and meal upgrades separately.
  3. Contact us if any information is unclear.
  4. Tell us the exact allergy or intolerance.
  5. Provide your name and order details.
  6. Confirm the information again when collecting or receiving the order where necessary.

If you are ordering for more than one person, clearly identify which meal is intended for the person with the allergy.

Cross-contact

Food is prepared in a working kitchen where a number of allergens may be handled.

Although we take reasonable care and follow allergen-management procedures, accidental cross-contact may occur through:

  • Shared preparation areas
  • Shared utensils
  • Shared storage
  • Frying oil
  • Grills and cooking equipment
  • Staff handling
  • Supplier or manufacturer processes

We cannot describe an item as completely free from an allergen unless this has been specifically verified.

Customers with severe allergies should speak to the restaurant before ordering. If we cannot confidently confirm that an order can be prepared safely, we may be unable to accept or fulfil the order.

Fryers and cooking oil

Some products may be cooked in oil or equipment also used for products containing allergens.

Please contact us before ordering if cross-contact through shared fryers or cooking equipment is a concern.

Sauces, marinades and seasonings

Sauces, marinades, coatings, breading, seasoning mixes and dressings may contain allergens such as:

  • Gluten
  • Egg
  • Milk
  • Mustard
  • Soya
  • Sesame
  • Celery
  • Sulphites

Always check the selected sauce and any extra sauces separately.

A product’s allergen information may change when you add, remove or substitute a sauce, topping, drink, side or meal upgrade.

Vegetarian and vegan descriptions

A vegetarian or vegan description relates to ingredients and recipe suitability. It does not automatically mean that the item is free from allergens.

Where shared preparation areas or equipment are used, cross-contact may still be possible.

Ingredient changes and substitutions

Suppliers may occasionally change ingredients, recipes, manufacturing sites or allergen statements.

Where a substitution is necessary, we will use the most current information available. However, customers with allergies should confirm the information before each order.

Do not rely on previous purchases as proof that an item remains suitable.

Prepacked food

Where an item is prepacked for direct sale and falls within applicable labelling rules, it should carry:

  • The name of the food
  • A full ingredients list
  • Regulated allergens emphasised within the ingredients list

Please read the label before consuming the product.

For food ordered online or by telephone, allergen information must also be available before purchase and when the order is supplied.

Allergy notes at checkout

The allergy-notes field is provided to help communicate information about an order.

It is not a guarantee that an item can be prepared without cross-contact and does not replace a direct conversation with the restaurant.

For a serious allergy:

  • Call us before ordering
  • Clearly identify the allergen
  • Ask about ingredients and preparation
  • Confirm whether shared equipment is used
  • Confirm the order details when collecting or receiving the food

Missing, unclear or conflicting information

If allergen information is missing, unclear or appears inconsistent:

  • Do not complete the order
  • Contact us directly
  • Ask for the latest written information
  • Do not consume the item until the information has been confirmed

When we may decline an order

For customer safety, we may decline or cancel an order where:

  • We cannot verify the ingredients
  • Supplier information is unavailable
  • We cannot reasonably control the cross-contact risk
  • The requested preparation cannot be carried out safely
  • The customer’s requirements are unclear

Any payment for an order we cannot safely fulfil will be handled in accordance with our Refund / Cancellation Policy.
